September 3, 2020 – Los Angeles, CA – Seas Jamaica United FC forward Akinni James has been selected UPSL National Player of the Week.

A native of Marietta, GA, James scored four goals in a UPSL 2020 Fall Season Southeastern Conference Georgia Division game on Saturday, August 29, 2020. James played 90 minutes for Seas Jamaica United FC (2-0-1 overall) in the victory.

This is the second award in three weeks for James, who is the first two-time UPSL Player of the Week winner in 2020.

A senior at Marietta High School, James has played for both FC Cincinnati (MLS) Under-13s at Atlanta United FC (MLS) Under-17s.

The UPSL National Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by members of the league and journalists covering the UPSL, and decided by the fans via Twitter poll.
