Mass United is proud to announce that all ticket proceeds from our July 7th National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) match against New York Red Bulls (Academy) will be donated to the Jimmy Fund and Dana Farber Cancer Institute. The event, United For The Jimmy Fund, is part of the Riders’ United For All campaign. View the press release here. The day begins when gates open at 11:00am for a clinic conducted by United players and coaches, as well as other activities for both children and adults. While I can’t yet go into details, the words ‘special appearance’ will be making a, well, special appearance, before all is said and done.
The event is right in line with what United was conceived to do. “Part of our mission is to give back to the community,” said United founder and head coach, Jim Antonakas. “We’re excited about the opportunity to help The Jimmy Fund and Dana Farber, both as individuals and as an organization. We want this to be the beginning of a long relationship,” he continued.
The amount of the final donation will be determined by attendance, meaning the more people that attend, the more we can raise! Mass United is seeking sponsors for the event as well, and donations of items from businesses to be given away at the event. For more information on becoming an event sponsor, contact Mass United Director of Operations Jonathan Langlois at firstname.lastname@example.org.
