Mass United to Face Oxford United

Mass United faces its highest-profile test of the season on July 16th when they face England’s Oxford United in an international friendly at Exeter High School in Exeter, NH.  Oxford United, one of the oldest clubs in England, is currently in 11th position in League 2 and boasts one of the league’s top striker combinations in James Constable and Tom Craddock.  Each has scored 13 league goals to date with Constable also adding 9 assists.

While this match will have no effect on either team’s league positions, the English game is the standard-bearer for club football world-wide and the Riders will want to show Oxford United, and the world, that even though we call it soccer, we are fast becoming a footballing nation.  Perhaps now would be a good time for someone to pen ‘Glory, Glory Mass United’?
