One season after being promoted to the Bay State Soccer League‘s first division, Mass United is battling to avoid dropping right back down to Division 2. With 4 games remaining it will not be easy but with the heart this club has shown the past few seasons I find no reason to believe they won’t pull it off.
The home stretch begins on Saturday against Cambridge Arsenal FC in Framingham (details here) and continues with MIT (Oct. 13), Blackbeard FC (Oct. 20), and Playwright FC on October 27th. CAFC is currently tied with United on points but well behind in goal differential, making Saturday a do or die game for the Cantabrigian Gunners. While MIT sits one slot and 5 points ahead of United and would be the team dragged into the drop zone should United pull itself out.
